Chewy

We have this cat at home, Chewy. I named her that because I could never pet her without being bitten. She's got a white belly, face and arms and her back is a dark grey. When I found her she was a kitten living in a warehouse. She was being fed but the guys were really too rough with her so she was rough back. She was just playing, though. My girlfriend, Kathreen, came and saw her one day and decided that we had to get her out of this mess. So we took her home.

We had moved into our new apartment about five days before we brought her home. Chewy walked around and smelled everything and decided she liked the closet best and set up camp there and would not come out. I had to sit in there with her just to get her to eat. Then Kathreen came home with a cat toy and some cat nip and a plan. We stuffed the toy full of cat nip and tried to play with her with it, but she wouldn't budge. We eventually gave up and left.

A few minutes later we heard her knocking about in there. Then she came bounding out and into the bathroom. She looked so cute and playful. Suddenly she froze and looked over her shoulder and realized where she was and ran straight back into the closet.

Anyway, that was like a year ago and now she pretty much full-grown. Oh, and today I was telling her that if Pepe Le Pew came around I would totally paint her up to look like a skunk and send him after her. So far, it's kept her in line. I think I'll try that with Kathreen next.

  1. If you do end up painting a white line across Kathreen's back, be sure to post photos to your blog. It would be amusing. Nice blog. Keep it up. I enjoyed it!
